After 17 years behind the chair, I took the leap of faith and decide to buy my own salon in January of 2020. I wanted to create a space where modern meets classic and that’s how Urban Grace Studio was born. I wanted to bring a little URBAN life to our mountain town of Durango, providing access to the best of the best and bringing new styles and techniques to a smaller community..

I became a salon owner because I wanted to create a space, not only to connect with my clients but also to encourage fellow inspired stylists and working mothers to realize their full potential. My vision of a modern-yet-classy, fun, and professional space for clients to enjoy and relax in is made possible through the hard work and creative energy of UGS wonderful, dynamic team.

My beautiful daughter Grace is my inspiration to push myself so I felt it would be fitting to include her in my business name.

Born in Durango and raised in Bayfield, I am a true local. Durango is my home and I love serving my community and bringing a little URBAN life to my favorite mountain town.

As a brunette, I love the effortless look of natural highlights. I’ve spent many years perfecting the technique of dimensional blonding, to give my fellow brunettes a natural, fresh glow without that obvious salon look.

I proudly specialize in dimensional blonding , all over color, bridal styling, barbering and precision cutting. My philosophy is less is more and I prioritize my client’s authenticity whether they are making a minor or major change. I understand firsthand the need to keep up with a busy professional and outdoor-focused lifestyle and provide ease of home management with soft, natural colors and flattering, manageable cuts. I love getting to know my clients and discussing ways to enhance their natural beauty without the hassle and expense of upkeep.

I am passionate about life, my career, and my daughter, Grace. I value female empowerment through independence and strive to live by example so Grace, too, will believe that anything is possible through hard work and determination. I am a driven businesswoman, a lover of my trade, and a pillar for my family.
